Merchandise Returns

Policy Updated: November 9, 2014

All returns are strictly enforced by the following terms. Please review these terms and make sure your are in compliance with our return and/or refund policy so that there is no issue that you do not understand or disagree with our policies.

All returns issued will incur the 15% restocking and transaction fee.

A full refund for the purchase price of your merchandise will be available for up to 14 days from the day you receive your order with the following exceptions.

  • We cannot accept returns on used products.
  • We cannot accept returns on clearance products.
  • We cannot accept returns on specially ordered products that are outside our normally stocked items.

Requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)

As long as you return the item(s) within 14 days from the day you receive your order, unopened, and still in saleable condition, we can give you a full refund for the product(s) or exchange them for something different. Of course, we can not refund your shipping or return shipping fees.

To return an item: 1) login to your Happy Tiffin account; 2) View the order; 3) Click the "Need to return this product?" to fill out the form and confirm the details.

Note: Customers who made a purchase using Guest Checkout will need to contact us via email to request a return.

When you return an item, be sure it is in new and unused condition and packed it in its original box along with the original invoice/packing slip. If you don't have your packing slip, you can print out your online order or shipping confirmation email and include it with the return. You can also log into your Happy Tiffin account history, print out the order information for the appropriate order and include that with the return.

Item(s) returned without a RMA number will be charged a 20% restocking fee and the shipping/handling and transaction fees will not be refundable. We reserve the right to refuse delivery and return to sender any item which is returned to us without a RMA number.

It is advised that you send your return using a reliable carrier that offers tracking (such as UPS, FedEx, or Priority Mail). When returning an item we also recommend you insure the package for your own protection. We cannot issue refunds for packages that are lost or damaged during return shipping.

Your credit card will be credited for the  applicable amount, minus our restocking and transaction fees, within 10 business days of receipt of the returned merchandise. Refunds will be issued on the credit card used in the original purchase. Please allow one to two billing cycles for the refund to appear on your credit card statement.

Refunds on Shipping Charges

If your return is in any way a result of an error by Happy Tiffin, we will happily refund all applicable shipping costs paid on the product(s) you are returning. Please be sure to indicate the nature of the error. If your return is due to issues other than fulfillment errors, shipping charges will not be refunded.

The natural variations and irregularities that occur within handmade products (tiffin handles, latches) and between production lots are not considered damages. Although these may be returned or exchanged, the related shipping charges will not be refunded. Note: used items will not be refunded or returned, no exceptions.

Return Time Limits on Credit Refund is 14 days

Products may be eligible for credit card credit if returned within 14 days from the date that you received your order. Orders returned after 14 days from receipt are eligible for store credit only. Orders returned after 14 days of receipt will not be refunded or any store credit issued.

Return Restrictions

We cannot accept returns on products that shows evidence of use (such as food residue, water marks, wear) or is in any way damaged or altered before arriving at our location. Make certain to use the original packaging and packaging method when returning an item to ensure that it arrives in the same condition as received.

Items returned without original packaging and/or without original packaging method may not be eligible for applicable refund. We reserve the right to refuse credit on items returned altered in any way, including damage resulting from inadequate return packaging.

Note: All returns are subject to a restocking fee of 10% and a 4% merchant account transaction fee, thereby totaling 30%.

Due to the nature of international shipping, we are unable to accept returns for items that we have shipped beyond US border. Happy Tiffin currently does not offer refunds on international purchases.
